Hello and welcome back!!
The beach towns along the coast of Delaware are some of my favorite places! There are so many fantastic restaurants all along the coast. A personal favorite is Blue Coast. So let’s get into it!
Blue Coast is seafood grill and raw oyster bar. I haven’t tried the oysters yet – but they come out of the kitchen nonstop every time I have been. Everything on the menu is so fresh and tasty. You can’t go wrong with any of the items they offer!
Their original location is in Bethany Beach. It over looks the bay but has limited parking. They opened a new location in Rehoboth. We prefer this location since there is more parking and it’s usually not quite as poppin’ as the original location. Also, there are outlet stores in Rehoboth, so we tend to go eat before hitting the shops!
Previously, I have ordered the crab cakes and shrimp with mashed potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms. The shrimp were butterflied and the crab cakes were carefully put on top. I don’t really eat mushrooms so I put them aside but I still highly recommend!
Some of the other incredible Blue Coast dishes are below!
This salad had an arugula base, goat cheese, dried cranberries, pecans, a citrus vinaigrette, and crispy wontons. This was a seasonal special so unfortunately, I don’t think this is on the menu anymore!
Their crab dip is fantastic. They make their chips in-house and they are lightly seasoned – I think with Old Bay or a similar seasoning. The crab dip has bacon chunks in it and is topped with a dollop of sour cream. This is a personal favorite and we always order this whenever we go!
The fried calamari is so tasty and is lightly fried. It comes with the yellow sauce, which I have not one clue what is in it but it is light and citrusy. Sometimes I get the fried calamari as my meal and sometimes we get this to share!
Blue Coast is in the SoDel Concepts restaurant family which also includes Matt’s Fish Camp, Catch 54, The Clubhouse at Baywood, Fish On, Lupo Italian Kitchen, Northeast Seafood Kitchen, and Papa Grande’s Coastal Taqueria. I’ve been to Catch 54 and it is also incredibly delicious. The next time we go up, we are planning to try a new restaurant so stayed tuned to see where we go!
